January 1st was the most chill day. I woke up late, was lazy the whole day, and went for dinner at a Japanese place named Kuu with my mom’s friends then went shopping. Sunday = driving the whole day then dinner at this new mall that just opened. It is literally full of food. Good thing I was kinda full when I went there. I did so many things on Monday. Day well spent. I had lunch at this really good chicken and rice place in Old Town. It was worth the 45 mins drive. Hung out with some friends in the afternoon then met up with some people from Chapman for dinner at a Thai restaurant called Somtum Nua at Siam Soi 5. I haven’t been there for 4 years because it’s so crowded all the time but surprisingly there was no line today. They expanded the whole place. The food was, as usual, awesome. On the way to the BTS I saw people selling Krisky Kreme. Wtf. I know it’s good, but is it THAT good? I met up with my mom and went to a meeting and met a friend from LA. The people there were really nice.

Tuesday was spent torrenting and skyping. Then I had dinner at Akiyoshi, a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant near my house. My friend was leaving for LA on Thursday so it was kinda farewell. A lot of people went. We ordered so much that I decided to skip out on dessert. I met my best friends on Wednesday. We finally had time to catch up a bit, had lunch, and watched The Tourist. There was a twist in the ending, which had me a bit confused. After the movie I met with another friend and we went to buy some stuff I had to bring back to LA. Then I had dinner with a friend whom I haven’t talked to in so many years. It was nice talking to her for a few hours over dinner and dessert at this restaurant that just opened. The ramen at that restaurant was so good. No wonder they won TV Champion. I didn’t do much on Thursday except I had dinner with my dad’s friends and some friends at my fav Italian restaurant, Rossano’s. They have the best lamb chops ever.

I went to King Power duty free shopping on Friday. I’m going to Vietnam next week so I could shop duty free. Wee! After a few hours of shopping I met up with a friend from Australia, whom I haven’t met for 5 years o.o He has changed so much. We haven’t really kept in touch so there was a lot to talk about. We went to watch Tron. I was so disappointed. I watched Tron because of the soundtrack, which was made by Daft Punk. The movie was shit. It was so boring. I slept for a bit, and I usually never sleep when watching a movie. I was kinda fed up with Italian food but I went to an Italian buffet on Saturday with my mom’s friends and some friends for lunch. Good thing they served small portions of food so I was able to eat a variety of stuff. I went to the dentist on Sunday and went shopping with my mom for the rest of the day and got a ton of stuff :D I haven’t shopped so much since Black Friday.

Moving into my dorm tomorrow. SURREAL.

I’m so excited, but a bit nervous. I don’t know anyone. I know some ppl on fb but that’s about it. I hope there’s someone that feels the same way haha. Anyhu, I just finished repacking and I have 5 boxes. Then mom is gonna bring 2 more boxes on wed. How am I gonna cram everything in there? sigh.

I’m moving in at 1 PM at NoMo. NoMo doesn’t look so bad, but it’s super tiny. Oh, and I’m going to pick up my bike tomorrow : )

JOBS

I have been receiving a lot of e-mails from Chapman. There is so much to do, but so little time to complete what has to be done, since I am leaving for LA in 2 days omg.

1. Finish the microlending assignment.

2. Finish applying for on-campus jobs.

3. Finish verifying and doing that financial stuff.

I just finished applying for 4 on-campus jobs, since I’m on work study. I’m somewhat nervous since I have not applied for a job before. I still have to apply for more on-campus jobs to ensure that I am accepted to at least one job.

I’m visiting Chapman for the first time on August 10th!

Worst Day of the Summer

My registration date was on July 14th at 9 AM, which is the first day and time to register for fall classes. I accidentally dropped my FFC and quickly registered for it within 1 minute and there’s this error:

FFC-100-09 - Section FFC-100-09 is “Closed” (25/25). Enrollment not allowed.

WHAT THE FUCK. I usually don’t swear often but I’m so pissed. I registered for my FFC (Bach to Rock: Music and Society, in NoMo) within 1 minute and now it’s gone. Someone else registered for it. I never knew you could change FFC’s. WHAT? Besides being put in the worst dorm a freshman at Chapman could have, I do not get to take the FFC I was initially enrolled in. Great! So I e-mailed the registrar’s office and they said I had to pick another FFC to take, but my housing assignment will stay the same. I decided to call them to make sure and they said the same thing.

I went to webadvisor to see what FFC’s were still open and there were only 3-4 of them so I had to choose Humanomics, which is the most interesting out of the 3-4 choices I had. Humanomics is in Henley, and I don’t even get to stay in Henley. Instead, I’m in NoMo and I don’t even get to take the FFC that was assigned for NoMo.

WORST DAY EVAR.

North Morlan

So I was at Pudong Intl Airport in Shanghai last night and checked my iPod to see if I could connect to the internet. I finally logged into my Chapman e-mail and found out that I was put in FFC 100-09: From Bach to Rock: Music and Society M/W 2:30-3:45 PM. I literally cried. That FFC was in North Morlan. I went to the housing portal and I’m in NoMo. This sucks.

Fuck.
